The Wii U CANNOT play GameCube games. There are no ports for the controllers or memory card and the console won't read the discs. The only way to be able to play them is to wait until GameCube games come to the e-Shop.

If you haven't gotten a Wii U yet, this is the bundle to get. You get the best game to come out on the system (so far) and Nintendo Land, which is a great game in its own right. Don't hesitate now, if you want a Wii U, get this bundle. You won't regret it.

Nintendoland is a great multiplayer game, provided you have additional Wii remotes to use. Mario Kart is one of the best racing game series. This bundle is great for casual as well as hardcore gamers.

Best Wii U bundle currently on the market

Mine didn't ship right away (shipped about a week after I ordered it), but I got it by the estimated delivery date, so it's all good :). Mario Kart 8 is super fun, and looks crisp on the TV because of the HDMI cable. One thing I would have liked the bundle to have is a screen protector for the gamepad, but that's just preference. Overall, great bundle!

I love it

The Wii U is Nintendo's best console yet. Plays all of your Wii games and has a brand new library of games! This bundle contains Mario Kart 8, which blows 7, Wii, DS, Double Dash, Advance, 64, and the Original completely out of the water with updated graphics, items, new characters, and just fun. I didn't try out Nintendoland yet but I've heard it's a blast.

Best Console Yet

I waited a while and this seemed like the best deal to finally pick it up. I'm glad I did, It's a fun system if you are a nintendo fan and want the games that are out for it right now. If not maybe this won't be as fun for you. Anyway I truly enjoy it and can't wait to expand my wii U library.

I went to put this bundle down for layaway at walmart for us to have this christmas and when I went to see it and when I saw it was the right choice just by looking at it. Can't wait til christmas to open it up. Its going to be awesome. I also recommend you get the Nintendo 3DS XL and the Nintendo 2DS and other Nintendo Products. #WII U with Mario Kart 8! I best recommend it for Children ages 4-17.

This Is The Best Bundle To Get

This was the birthday gift than my 10 years old son chose, he loves everything about Mario Bros so we play together and get a lot of fun

Very funny my son love it.

I was going to initially get a playstation or xbox and I got this instead. The OFFSCREEN play is awesome. I don't even need the TV to play this while my daughter watched her cartoons. Instead you can play games on the included handheld gamepad screen. On top of that, myself and my wife have never played a game so much as mario kart 8. It's Brilliant. The other consoles are more for playing against people online. This is a family console with local/.couch multiplayer as well as having all the other online features which, might I add, you don't have to pay for unlike with most other companies who make you pay a premium to play online.

Got old Wii accessories and games? They will all work on this too as it is backward compatible with the old games from the older Wii. Also try Rayman origins.

Best bundle on the market right now. If you haven't sprung for a Wii U yet, this is the bundle to get. Easy to set up, and game play looks great with the included HDMI cable. Has to update before you can play, but it doesn't take long, especially if you update from the Mario Kart 8 disc instead of with wifi. Mario Kart 8 is the best one yet, and NintendoLand is not some throw-away--my family plays it more than any other game.
My only wish is that they would have included a Wii Remote Plus, and possibly a Wii Wheel. This was the case with the old Mario Kart 8 bundle, but it was more expensive than this option. Purchasing separately is no big deal in the long run.
